Florida Freewheelers’ 30th Anniversary Horrible Hundred

On-line registration for the Florida Freewheelers’ 30th Anniversary Horrible Hundred bicycle event, November 14-15, is now open at www.horrible-hundred.com.
Waterfront Park in downtown Clermont will serve as the hub for the event, which this year will feature two days of riding and of shopping and eating at the Expo – all for the discounted pre-registration cost of $35.
For the main event on Sunday, cyclists may choose from three routes – 35, 70 and 100 miles, which each hit at least four of the seven “mountains” in Central Florida.
In addition to Saturday familiarization rides led by local bicycle clubs and the two-day Expo, other additions to this year’s line-up include a custom-designed 30th anniversary jersey, Trek® bicycle giveaway and choice of long-sleeve T’s or Polar® water bottles if participants register before November 1.
One of Central Florida’s longest-running bicycling events, the Horrible Hundred draws more than 1500 cyclists from all over the country for a challenging, but recreational ride on rural Lake County roads. The event’s themed rest stops and post-ride feast are signature elements of the ride. Top sponsors of the event include David’s World Cycle and Trek.
The Horrible Hundred is presented by the Florida Freewheelers, Inc. – Central Florida’s premiere bicycling club with a membership of more than 600 cyclists of all ages, shapes, sizes, and skill levels, ranging from recreational to racing.
