- An integrated tail light is also included. It functions as a brake light.
- A handle is attached to the seat, making it easier to lift the RipRacer.

7 reasons not to buy
- Although small, the RipRacer is not particularly light, at 66 lb.
- A single-speed drivetrain limits your gear range, on the RipRacer.
- Riders over 6’ may feel cramped on the RipRacer.
- Fenders and a rack are not included.
- The motor failed for one owner after 300 miles of riding.
- Poor customer service response was reported by more than one owner.
- Owners say that an unpowered RipRacer is a drag to pedal.
Bottom line
They call it “fun-size”. The RipRacer is a pocket-rocket shod with BMX-size 20” wheels. However, its tires are a very non-BMX 4” wide. That’s fat-bike width. It looks cool, screams up hills, weaves ‘tween traffic and comes in four colors. Meanwhile, this Class 3 version uses a 750W motor that hits 28 mph and puts out as much as 1300W of peak power alongside 80Nm of torque. It isn’t light, at 66lb, but it is small enough to jam in an elevator and park in a corner of your pokey one-room apartment. Integrated lights are included but no other extras, such as a rack or fenders. A single-speed drivetrain keeps things simple. The 52V 15.6Ah battery is generous and may deliver as much as 55 miles of range.Expert Reviews
