BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

- Several experts and users consider the Link an excellent commuter.
- The easy folding process and small footprint are a hit with reviewers and owners.
- The Link C8, D7i, and D8 include a rack and fenders. This rack fits KLICKfix bags, which one reviewer says are very useful for a commuter bike.
- Riders like how easily you can mount a KLICKfix rack, basket, or bag to the headtube on the Link C8, D7i, and D8, thanks to the Luggage Socket.

- According to one reviewer, the V-brakes slow the bike well on steep descents.
5 reasons not to buy
- 20" wheels mean the Link isn't as compact when folded as models with 16" wheels.
- Many testers and owners criticize the Magnetix system, saying the bike's tendency to unfold while being moved makes it challenging to carry safely.
- Two reviewers complain that the N-fold design leaves the drivetrain facing out, so it's easy to stain clothing when carrying the Link.
- One expert says the frame's complex design tends to collect dirt, making it harder to keep clean.
- The Link has rim brakes that don't function as well as disc brakes in wet weather, disappointing one reviewer.
Bottom line
The Tern Link is a folding commuter bike available in four builds to suit different needs and budgets. Experts and users appreciate the comfortable and agile ride quality, gearing range, KLICKfix compatibility, and easy folding. The Tern Link is not as compact or lightweight, when folded, as a Brompton. However, the Link is much more affordable. Overall, riders agree this is an excellent, high-quality commuter bike, ideal for small homes and multimodal commuting.Expert Reviews
