BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the YOELEO R12 DB. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

11 reasons to buy

  • The YOELEO R12 DB is available in four builds, with Shimano 105 or Ultegra electronic or mechanical.
  • Three builds offer a choice of integrated cockpit or separate stem and handlebar in many widths and lengths.
  • Custom paint options are available, and a reviewer finds the cost reasonable.
  • A tester says the R12 DB handles well, thanks to its "normal" geometry.
  • An expert bike fitter applauds the 40mm range and easy adjustment of seatpost setback.
  • The R12 DB frameset and fork have room for tires up to 32mm wide.
  • Two testers praise the comfort on long rides. One says the compliant wheels and frameset reduce fatigue.
  • The stem spacers result in taller effective stack height than specified by YOELEO. A reviewer appreciates this less aggressive riding position.
  • An expert finds the ride stable, even when descending on rough roads.
  • The “flawless” paint finish on the frameset impresses experts.
  • The UCI-approved frameset and SAT C50 DB PRO carbon wheels have six and three-year warranties.

10 reasons not to buy

  • A thru-axle hole on one test bike isn't round, but the reviewer labels this problem an outlier, highlighting the complete lack of issues with the replacement frame provided.
  • Experts note the frameset and wheels are heavier than those of similar bikes, which hurts climbing speed.
  • The frame design lacks dropped seatstays. A tester says this makes for a less compliant rear end.
  • A reviewer complains of a sticking freehub, later finding the rear wheel bearings weren't installed properly.
  • Reviewers don't consider the R12 DB very fast, despite YOELEO calling it an aero bike.
  • YOELEO doesn't have a wide dealer network for customer support.
  • An expert says the bike is sluggish on descents.
  • One tester dislikes the YOELEO freehub's noisy ratchet.
  • Owners and a reviewer criticize YOELEO for exceedingly slow delivery times and poor communication.
  • YOELEO's website is difficult to navigate and lacks key specifications for these builds.

Bottom line

The R12 DB is a carbon aero all-road bike from Chinese direct-to-consumer brand YOELEO. It comes in four builds with varied cockpit configurations and custom paint options. The comfortable ride, good handling, and impressive paint finish win praise. The relatively relaxed geo and compliant wheels promote longer rides, but racers may prefer more aggressive geo and snappier responses. Testers challenge YOELEO's aero claims, saying the heavy frameset and wheels hinder the bike's speed, especially when climbing. Quality control problems and customer support issues continue to dog YOELEO. Ultimately, experts are split on whether the R12 DB offers significant value compared to big-name brands.

YOELEO R12 Ride Review (Two Different Points of View)

[It’s a] good all-rounder, nice handling bike, not the fastest thing in the world, not the slowest thing in the world… and perhaps not suitable on harsh roads.

My YOELEO R12 Is Finished – Dream Build and First Ride

It’s not going to make you want to sprint out of every corner every single time you hop on it, but if you have long days out on the road this is going to be a good choice.
