The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

- In a number of instances, chains were radically over-tensioned.
- Pedal bearings were sometimes so shot that, they wouldn’t turn.

- One owner received uneven forks and sent them back.
- A couple of parents were unable to fully lower the seat tube.
- An owner reported rust inside the headtube and headset of their new bike.
- One parent said that the magnesium frame snapped in half while their child was riding the Space Shuttle.
Bottom line
Praise be to RoyalBaby for innovative attempts at weight-reduction and performance braking on a child’s bike. A heavy bike is a common factor in discouraging a child from learning to ride. Dual disc brakes are an amazing addition on a bike aimed at toddlers and small children. But… at least five buyer reviews reported that they did not receive a bike with dual disc brakes, despite it always being pictured in that configuration. Instead, the Space Shuttle was often fit with a rear coaster brake. There is only one report of a frame breaking in two while a child was riding it, but if true this is a great concern. Consider both positive and negative reviews and approach with caution. It definitely is a great-looking machine, though.
