Bottom line
The Canadian marque Argon 18 is no lightweight. Well, maybe in terms of the Gallium’s traditionally diamond-shaped monocoque carbon frame. But, as a present and past sponsor of various pro teams, the manufacturer’s efforts are results proven. While the Gallium has retained a traditional geometry and understated frame since 2016, reviewers agreed that it was tried and true on climbs and sprints. The Gallium was seen as an everyday ride, while the Pro was more suited to racing. Aluminum wheels were sometimes seen as a compromise to value. Also, the Gallium received mixed reviews as relates to long-distance comfort. In short, this isn’t a comfort cruiser. It’s a competitive rig that’s race proven.
