BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

14 reasons not to buy
- The externally powered taillight and lack of bottle cage bosses disappoint testers.
- Testers report lagging power from both pedal assist and throttle engagement.
- A tester finds the throttle lacks power when set to normal mode. In Sport mode, throttle speed exceeds 20mph, breaking e-bike speed laws in most states.
- Experts say the motor is noisy.
- At 84.2lb, the Eden is a heavy e-bike.
- A reviewer experiences ghost pedaling before the 28mph top speed due to low gearing.
- Several testers say the cables rub the front basket.
- Reviewers and owners recommend replacing the “uncomfortable” saddle.
- The bike is rated for 5’5” to 6’5”, but two testers (6’4” and 6’5”) say the max saddle height is too low to achieve a comfortable pedaling position.
- The 32.2” minimum seat height is likely too high for those under 5’8”
- Reviewers say the anti-theft sensor is too sensitive. One sets it off by walking past the bike on a hardwood floor.
- After setup, a tester and owner both experience the same battery issue, requiring correspondence with Freedare to troubleshoot.
- An expert reports app connectivity issues.
- The display is dim and difficult to see according to reviewers.
Bottom line
The Freedare Eden is a fat-tire e-bike with a 750W motor, 960Wh battery, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Experts praise the relaxed upright riding position, handy companion app, anti-theft features, and solid riding range. However, inaccurate sizing, delayed motor response, high weight, a noisy motor, and lack of gearing range disappoint. Reviewers also agree the uncomfortable rear end would benefit from a better saddle or suspension seatpost. Despite these considerable issues, reviewers still feel the Freedare Eden offers good value.Expert Reviews
