Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the sixthreezero EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

10 reasons to buy

  • The sixthreezero EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw has a bench that can fit two slim adults or three small children.
  • The bench has a seatbelt and a stated weight capacity of 300lb. The Rickshaw's total payload capacity is 500lb.
  • Testers commend the trike’s stability thanks to its wide rear, fat tires, and low center of gravity.
  • Experts say the 750W motor delivers smooth and consistent power across pedal assist levels, with enough torque to handle heavy loads.
  • Using PAS level 1, a 150lb rider covers 48.7 miles and 978 feet of elevation gain at an average speed of 9mph.
  • In testing, the trike handles a 12% grade hill using PAS 5.
  • Reviewers enjoy the upright, cruiser-style riding position, and the handlebars are height and reach are adjustable for fine-tuning fit.
  • According to testers, the 4” fat tires and suspension fork provide a comfortable ride for both rider and passengers.
  • Experts say the display is bright and easy to read in direct sunlight, and it has a USB-A port for charging devices.
  • The Electric Rickshaw comes with lights, fenders, a horn, a parking brake, and a large storage compartment under the bench.

12 reasons not to buy

  • The sixthreezero EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw is expensive, especially considering its entry-level components.
  • At 158lb, this electric trike is extremely heavy.
  • Experts feel larger brake rotors or a hydraulic system should be included to handle the trike's weight and speed.
  • In their bike fit video, sixthreezero dishonestly claims the Rickshaw fits a 4'11" rider while the subject clearly struggles to reach the pedals or the bars.
  • The 21Ah battery takes over 10 hours to charge fully with the included 2A charger.
  • Experts complain that the assembly process takes longer than average and requires tuning of the drivetrain and brakes.
  • Reviewers say the EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw accelerates quickly, which may be dangerous for unexpecting passengers.
  • In tests, the bike consistently exceeds 20mph using the throttle, raising concerns about its safety and its Class 2 e-bike classification.
  • Reviewers say the seatbelt, fenders, and chain guard rattle while riding.
  • A tester reports a discrepancy between the display speed and an external GPS, the GPS showing 1-2mph higher.
  • Riders with larger feet (size 12+) may find their heels uncomfortably close to the passenger foot platform.
  • One reviewer finds the handlebar sweep too aggressive, resulting in wrist pain on longer rides.

Bottom line

The sixthreezero EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw is a fat-tire tricycle with a 750W motor and 1008Wh battery. Reviewers praise the trike's ability to transport multiple passengers, the motor power, the stable handling, and the comfortable ride. The weight (158lb) and bulk make it challenging to maneuver when not in use. The basic mechanical brakes are disappointing, given the 500lb payload capacity and 20mph top speed. Other drawbacks include time-consuming assembly, lengthy charging, and rattling parts. Overall, testers view the EVRYjourney Electric Rickshaw as a good option for carrying multiple passengers, but this comes at a high price.

A Passenger E-Trike! The Sixthreezero Rickshaw (E-Bike Review)

For a trike this size that’s capable of hauling 500lb worth of passengers, I would have liked to have seen 180mm discs on the front or on the front and rear… hydraulic brakes would have been great.
